Does anybody remember when the Monster Hunter franchise was considered niche? Capcom has announced its latest installment, Monster Hunter Wilds, has moved more than 10 million units. That's a first-month record for Capcom, which by the way is the same company that has given us the likes of Mega Man and Resident Evil.

Since its 2004 debut, the Monster Hunter franchise has sold more than 108 million copies. Its foundation is cooperative play, encouraging friends to group up and tackle some of the toughest challenges in gaming. Wilds is the first game in the series to feature crossplay and launched simultaneously on PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Sorry, last-gen consoles, but Monster Hunter is cooking current PCs.

But wait, Monster Hunters, there's more. A free title update coming April 4 will add a fan-favorite monster as well as the Grand Hub. It's a new in-game settlement that will allow players to gather and communicate. A second title update is scheduled for the summer.

To celebrate the runaway success, Capcom is offering an in-game gift to players for a limited time. This item pack contains 30 mega potions, 20 lifepowders, 20 mega barrel bombs, 10 hard armor spheres, and 10 silver eggs.

The pack is available until April 13. To redeem it, make your game is updated to the latest version. In the items and equipment section, there will be a menu option called "Login Bonus." Claim that and all these goodies are yours. Now get out there and show all those monsters you're the boss of them.
