I love MLB The Show 25, it has been my most played game since it launched. But some of these glitches, and how they have gone unaddressed is concerning. In the crosshairs right now is a glitch in the game's ranked co-op in which the first team to quit gets credit for the win. It's so well known now that matches often deteriorate into which team can dashboard first.
Sony San Diego has started banning people for doing this. That should clear the cheaters out in the long term, but in the short term this is making the mode unplayable. Also, not everybody logs onto MLB The Show Twitter or checks App Trigger first thing in the morning. I know, I know! It's a certainty that some innocent people will get hit with the ban hammer for just trying to play the game. People try new games, and sometimes they play with randoms.
The good news is that SDS is aware of the issue and hopes an upcoming patch will remedy the problem. That's only one of the problems the team is dealing with right now. As I mentioned last week, the new Weekend Classic mode had a very rough launch. According to an in-game timer, the Weekend Classic should return in a couple of weeks.
If you're a fan of Sony's annual baseball title, it might be time to play solo modes such as Road to The Show, Franchise, or if you need that card-collecting Diamond Dynasty fix, the new roguelike Diamond Quest mode.
