Look out assorted evildoers, Marvel Snap's latest season is a good old-fashioned superhero team-up with NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals. The new hero-shooter launched on Dec. 6 and has already racked up an impressive 20 million players.

Snap's latest season introduces characters and locations straight from the brand new shooter. Did you know Galactus had a daughter? Me neither, and I've read way more comics than I comfortably admit. But she's in the game, and Galacta (creative, huh?) adds three power to the first card played at another location.

Pop star/superhero Luna Snow's card adds an Ice Cube card to each side of a location when she's revealed. The Cubes give one energy at the start of your turn and get destroyed if your side is full.

Peni Parker adds her mech, SPDR, to your hand when played. It can merge with a card, which can then move next turn.

The main story of Marvel Rivals Season 1 involves two Doctor Dooms, the regular old evil one and his 2099 variant. The Doom 2099 card adds a Doombot to a random location each turn provided you've only played one card. The Doombot 2099 gives plus one power to Doom and other Doombots.

One of the unique mechanics in Marvel Rivals has the Hulk begin the game as Bruce Banner, with a Gamma Gun and Gamma Grenades. Knowing when to transform is an important part of playing the character. Marvel Snap adds this mechanic with a Bruce Banner card, which has a 25 percent chance of "Hulking Out" each turn you end with unspent energy.

The Rocket Raccoon and Groot card can move one time. After an opponent plays a card at the same location, they get to steal one power from it. Don't worry, I'm sure Rocket has a plan to get it back.

If you're a Marvel Comics fan that also loves games, it is a great time to be alive!
