Nintendo is selling too many consoles for publishers to ignore it, but we know some titles are probably going to struggle. The Switch 2 port of Madden NFL 26 is one of them, as it doesn't hit 60 fps on Nintendo's machine. Anyway you look at it, that's a much worse experience than what you would get on the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S.
Of course, if you purchased Madden 26 on the Xbox, you may not have been able to play it yet. That's a whole different launch day boondoggle. Players on Switch 2 have reported long launch times, issues with the menu loading and server issues, but that's happening to everybody. We're still in the early access phase, and these problems happen every year on every platform.
There's also no crossplay, because that would likely be too much for the console to handle. It's just way easier for PlayStations and Xboxes to talk to each other. So much so that it was crazy how long Sony held out against crossplay. Again, that's another tangent for another day.
I probably didn't need to tell you this, but anybody who owns a PlayStation or Xbox as well as a Switch would do better playing it on the more powerful console. That's especially true if you're buying Madden for multiplayer aspects, which I still believe is the majority of players out there. If you're only interested in the single-player experience, you may be fine playing it on a Switch 2.
