Can I get an OH YEAHHH! Insider Gaming's Mike Straw has revealed that the man of the hour, the tower of power, too sweet to be sour, Macho Man Randy Savage will be in the next DLC for Retromania Wrestling.
If the name didn't give it away, this is a title inspired by the classic wrasslin' games of the 80s and 90s, specifically billing itself as a spiritual successor to WWF Wrestlefest. Its roster is straight up legendary, featuring the likes of Austin Idol, Nikita Koloff, and Tommy Dreamer.
The new DLC, arriving September 13 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam adds Savage, Magnum TA, Demolition, and the Rock N' Roll Express.
The update will also add 2-3 new arenas, two new game modes, House Show and Tournament modes, Tag Team and RetroMania Championships, and much more. This is a paid DLC that will be $9.99.
The game's creator, Mike Hermann, told Straw he had the idea after seeing Savage in WrestleQuest, another title that celebrates our wrestling heroes of yesteryear. After seeing Retromania Wrestling in action, the estate holder was sold on Herrman's vision.
I'm a proud owner of Retromania Wrestling, and you can really feel the love and dedication to the craft that went into this project. As anybody who has been reading my work around here knows, I'm a lifelong fan of pro wrestling and wrestling games, from the "A Winner is You" era to WWE 2K25.
RetroMania takes me back to those Saturday afternoons spent watching Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan and the Macho Man - oh yeah. I can't wait for this DLC.
