That was one great season of football and football video gaming. EA Sports is putting a bow on it with an update for Madden 25 that adjusts the Superstar and X-Factors for the season's best players. They're also turning some players that didn't do well back into mere mortals.
Leading the way is the electric Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. He led the long underachieving franchise to the NFC Championship game in his first year. The new update gives him the Escape Artist X-Factor, which gives him greater scrambling speed leaving the pocket.
Commanders' fans are eating well with this update as "Scary" Terry McLaurin earned the Double Me X-Factor, allowing him to win contested catches against single coverage. Leading the list of players who have lost their X-Factor are two wideouts who will likely be changing addresses in 2025: Davante Adams and Cooper Kupp. They ended many teams' fantasy football campaigns, now they will bring that same level of underperformance to Madden 25 squads.
