Kevin Durant once stayed up until 3 am on gameday to maintain an NBA 2K win streak

You're having fun playing NBA 2K one night, then a future Hall of Famer and NBA 2K pro show up in The Park. They basically never leave the court because no one can beat them. This nightmare took place for some unfortunate players once night as NBA legend Kevin Durant and Choc, an NBA 2K pro, were in the zone.

They rattled off a 100-game win streak in The Park, playing until 3 am. By the way, Durant had a game later that day. Here's the video of Durant sharing the wild story, courtesy of NBA 2K26 News & Intel's X account.

It already feels unfair to have a basketball legend playing the video game. Then he teams with an NBA 2K pro, who I'm sure knows every exploit, every point at which NBA 2K stops being a sports sim and turns into a video game. I'm betting it was the perfect marriage of actual ball knowledge and video game b-ball efficiency. I feel superhuman if I win two or three games in a row. A freakin 100-game win streak! Biblical stuff. It's a shame they weren't streaming this.

Heck, we need an ESPN 30 for 30 about this. "The Night KD Never Went to Bed" or something. We can workshop the title. I do wonder how Durant played in actual basketball later that evening. But if we're honest, a 100-game NBA 2K win streak is as good as anything the Brooklyn Nets accomplished during KD's time there.

If you see a win streak of 100 games in The Park, are you challenging them or looking for another court?
