Relationships are already tough, even more so when celebrity is involved. It's the definition of a "glass house." Streamer Kai Cenat says he's done with relationships after a high-profile breakup with Gabrielle Alayah, better known as Gigi. Cenat broke the news with an X post, saying not only that he is single, but will never be in another relationship again.
The post came as a shock, as the two had were together traveling in Switzerland and Italy during the Christmas holiday. Rumors are swirling that Gigi cheated on the 24-year-old streamer with rapper NBA Youngboy.
In an Instagram story, Gigi denies these rumors and said that she is actually the one who ended the relationship.
"I've never cheated on him and you know that," Gigi said. "I have never dealt with that man (NBA Youngboy) play that sympathetic role somewhere else please."
Emotions are running high as Cenat recently went public with his mental health struggles and the pressures of being a famous content creator. While many think it's as simple as pointing a camera or playing a video game, there's a great deal of pressure for each video to be bigger than the next one.
That doesn't even begin to describe all the hours put into that content, and the inevitable strain on any attempt at a healthy relationship. If the average person goes through a breakup, no one cares but their friends or family. In situations such as this, people on social media have rooting interests as if the celebs were their favorite football team.
As we track our favorite celebs on Instagram, we think we know the root cause of their relationship problems. In reality, love is always more complicated than a cozy photo. Often, the people in the relationship don't even know exactly why it ended. Here's hoping both Kai and Gigi find happiness down the line, even if not with each other.
