The star of the Red Dead Redemption series has some series he can't wait to share about our favorite open-world Wild West games. Rob Wiethoff, the actor that voices John Marston, has not only begun playing RDR for the first time but has been streaming it on Twitch.
During a recent stream, he said there's some news he can't share that's "absolutely killing him," and that he won't be the only one sharing it. He also mentioned that he can't think about anything else, especially playing this game. Yeah, these titles have always been among Rockstar's most addictive. Yes, I've jokingly called it Grand Theft Horse, too, but it really is so much more.
Most of the Rockstar-related news in recent months has centered on the recently postponed GTA 6, so it's good to hear John Marston may have some other mischief up his sleeve. I love Westerns and Western-themed games, and we don't get that many of them.
That lack of well-done Western games makes Rockstar's excellent work with this franchise stand out even more. With the success of the Fallout series, a lot of folks are speculating that this announcement is about a live-action adaptation. The Last of Us has been incredible and has drawn so many new folks into the fandom. An RDR TV show or movie could certainly do the same.
The good news is that we should find out what's coming very soon, before Friday, according to Wiethoff. Well, until we find out, I'm gonna go hop on my horse and get into some trouble in town.
