Superhero fighting game fans are about to eat really well. Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls gives the colorful vibes of the Marvel vs Capcom games, but if you like your fighters bloodier, ala Mortal Kombat, Invincible Vs is the title for you. In keeping with the theme of spooky season, today's reveal gave us Monster Girl and Robot.

Monster Girl is a powerful rushdown character, complete with an armored up running move that lets her get close and personal. Quarter Up, the studio bringing us this one, is staffed with veterans from the underrated Killer Instinct reboot. Monster Girl is reminding us longtime fighting game aficionados of KI's Kilgore.

Robot, of course, plays a little more keep away. The pair work well together in the comics and TV show, and are clearly designed to do so here as well. The fighter reportedly will launch with around 15-20 characters, with Invincible creator Robert Kirkman teasing that if you have a favorite character, they're probably in there.

Skybound Games will publish both indie games and games featuring the characters and universes envisioned in the publisher's hit comic books including The Walking Dead and Invincible. If Invincible Vs is any indication, their loving touch is going to hit just right with legions of comic book lovers. Could this be the solution to terrible licensed games? I certainly hope so.

The trailer also revealed that a closed alpha for console players coming Nov. 21- 24. Happy Thanksgiving, indeed. The game will also release on PC, and those players got to enjoy a closed beta earlier this year.
