One of the FC /FIFA series most iconic programs, Icon Swaps, has returned after a few years of absence. Players can complete themed objectives to win tokens and complete squad building challenges to unlock untradeable players.
We'll get 20 tokens through two in-game drops. Ten were released yesterday, and the next 10 arrive on February 20. The Holy Grail of this event is a 94 overall Ronaldo, which requires 19 tokens to unlock. There's your official savage grinder marker. More reasonable options include Xabi Alonso for 3 Tokens (hey, he's got Tiki Taka+, one of my favorites) or Eric Cantona at 11 Tokens.
Not gonna lie, some of these objectives are a real pain, such as scoring with a chip shot in 6 separate matches in the Live Event: Icon Swaps One League with 8 First Owned Bundlesliga players. The good news is we have almost a month to get these done. I'm sure there are some Discord groups that will um, help you out with these. Don't tell Ronaldo I told you about them.
Even some players who have zero intention of grinding all these objectives are happy to see a program from the FIFA days of this franchise back in the game. The timing couldn't be better, as a lot of players are seriously underwhelmed by the Team of the Year promo. I've heard about people buying as many as 300 packs without pulling a TOTY. This is EA we're talking about, so I don't that for a second. Veterans know as crazy as that is, it was worse before we had Squad Building Challenges.
