Battlefield 6 has come roaring out of the gate as the biggest threat to Call of Duty's dominance in recent memory. It sold over 7 million copies in its first three days. During that initial three-day weekend, it had more than 172 million matches played online and more than 15 million hours streaming. Now its much-rumored battle royale mode, Redsec, is available.

Redsec introduces Fort Lyndon, a brand new map set in the backyards and beaches of California. For this exciting new mode, they've unleashed the largest map in Battlefield history. You'll drop into battle with 100 other players, battle enemy squads, and get sweet, sweet loot.

It also includes a gauntlet mode in which eight 4-player teams battle in round-based missions with teams eliminated if they fail to score enough objective points. Win four of the rounds, and your squad will emerge victorious.

“We already revealed that this is our most ambitious roadmap in Battlefield history, and today demonstrates our commitment to that,” Electronic Arts Executive Vice President Vince Zampella said. “This is part of our promise to deliver a wide variety of quality content on a consistent basis, ensuring you’ll always have something new and unexpected to engage with whenever you jump into the fight."

Today also starts Battlefield 6's Season 1, offering three phases of content through the holiday season. Season 1’s first phase, Rogue Operations launches today with three new weapons, a new map, a new close-quarters and high-intensity multiplayer mode called Strikepoint, and some other surprises. Season 1 also has “Rogue Operations” themed Battle Pass with 100 tiers, 6 total paths. and 10 prestige tiers. Get out there, soldiers.
