Season 8 of NBA 2K25 My Team has arrived, with a GOAT version of Julius "Dr. J" Erving at journey's end as a Level 40. There's an Invincible Brook Lopez at Level 30, allowing you to take advantage of his excellent three-point shooting skills for a big man. Your favorite Site Expert is here to let you know the fastest way to get there.

NBA 2K25 Allows You to Pay to Play, Of Course

Let me be clear: I am not saying you should buy the Pro Pass or Hall of Fame Pass. But it wouldn't be honest of me to write a guide on the fastest way and not include them. The $9.99 Pro Pass offers 40 premium earnable rewards in addition to the 80 rewards that already come with the Season Pass. It also adds 45,000 VC.

The Hall of Fame Pass is $19.99 and adds 10 Level Skips, 15 percent XP boost, and 15,000 VC deposited into your account immediately. Many of the rewards in the season pass are Double XP coins, which will be very valuable along this run. We'll get back to them later. Also, at any time, you can pay $9.99 to upgrade your Pro Pass to the Hall of Fame Pass. Level skips are $1.99 each, and no, you cannot get an early start on next season by buying more levels than you have left.

We Are The Nation of Domination

Online can get super sweaty, and I absolutely understand if you would rather not grind the game that way. The single-player mode domination is actually one of the most efficient ways to gain levels. With a Double XP coin turned in, you'll earn almost a whole level for every domination game. The new Season 8 Domination lineup is a "Best Of" from all the previous seasons' sets, and the first several teams are severely underpowered for this time of year.

2K25 knows we're in the endgame now, so they're working hard to keep you engaged. You'll unlock a 100 overall Bam Adebayo just for logging into MyTeam. You'll earn an Invincible Billy Cunningham for getting enough stars in this mode.

Now for Those Double XP Tokens

Whatever mode you're running, you want to maximize XP gains as much as possible. That's where the tokens come in. You can earn them along the season pass pathway and as a reward for winning in online modes. They do not stack with one another, so don't waste them.

I need to mention something I found out the hard way. Once you cash a token in, that's it. If you have to use the restroom, if your friend calls for a real life pickup game, if your house catches on fire 2K25 does not care.

Once that token is cashed, you have the next 30, 60, or 120 minutes to gain Double XP. There is one hack you can use, though. As long as you start a game mode while the token is active, you'll get the full double XP no matter how long the game takes to finish. If you end one game with 30 seconds left, if you fire up another one right away, you'll get the full double XP.

As I mentioned, I've found Domination with the XP tokens turned on to be the least sweaty, most efficient way to hit Level 40 in a timely fashion. You can get this done no money spent, but if you choose to spend some cash and save some time I completely understand. Play the game the way it's most fun for you, always.
