Here's everything announced at Warhammer Skulls game showcase

One of the reasons we don't have an E3 anymore is that companies now do their own shows promoting their products, not having to share the spotlight with anyone else. Warhammer Skulls is Games Workshop's event of this nature, giving all the latest details on its ever-growing game portfolio. Seriously, there are more games set in the Warhammer universe than there are space marines in the Emperor's army.

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy

This RPG from Owlcat Games takes players inside the mysterious world of the Inquisition. They are the secret police force and intelligence gathering arm of the Imperium. The presentation promised a darker, more personal experience. Is it possible for Warhammer to get darker? I'm a little scared. It has some of the WH universe's surprise hit Rogue Trader's DNA, and is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. There's no release date yet.

Rogue Trader gets new DLC, Lex Imperialis

Speaking of Rogue Trader, on June 24 it will receive a new DLC with 15 hours of story, a new Adeptus Arbites companion, and new familiars. In this adventure, woven into the game's main story, players will experience the Grand Harvesting, the collection of the Imperial Tithe. Emperor gotta get his money.

Total War: Warhammer III, Tides of Torment

We got the briefest of teasers for one of the most anticipated pieces of content. It will include three legendary lords, bringing new units and mechanics to the popular strategy offering. It's coming later this summer.

Warhammer Combat Cards

Warhammer has a lot of games, as previously established. It even has multiple card games going right now and yes, it is confusing. This promo was for Warhammer Combat Cards and announced a new Supreme Commander card, Daemon Primarch Angron. You can also redeem the code Skulls25 for some goodies.

Warhammer Tacticus unleashes the Adeptus Custodes

Tacticus is a mobile strategy game and in a survival event coming May 24, the Adeptus Custodes join the party. They are the emperor's own personal guard, each one capable of singlehandedly taking on legions. Their leader, Shield Captain Trajann Valoris, will arrive in a Legendary event later this month.

GOG Preserves Five Classic Warhammer Games

In a world of rapidly vanishing digital rights, GOG's mission is to make sure our favorite games of the past don't ever get lost to time. They had a pretty big announcement during the show:

Today, we’re proud to officially bring five Warhammer classics into the Program, including one of the earliest Warhammer Fantasy video games:

  • Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat
  • Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate
  • Final Liberation: Warhammer Epic 40,000
  • Warhammer 40,000: Rites of War (currently free during the Warhammer Skulls event)
  • Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior

Blood Bowl 3 adds the Khorne Faction

Warhammer's grimdark world has all manner of games, even bizarrely violent sports sims. Blood Bowl 3 is adding the Khorne, a faction renowned for violence even among the Blood Bowl psychos. They come armed with the frenzy ability that allows you to attack twice in a row They'll arrive on June 10, Season 9 of the gory strategic sports offering.

Warhammer 40,000 Boltgun 2

The 2023 boomer shooter Boltgun was a blast - pun intended- and you knew a sequel was coming. Malum Caedo returns to battle Khorne (hey, they play football, be careful) bloodletters and juggernauts.

Warhammer 40,000 Boltgun Words of Vengeance

Boltgun is a love letter to boomer shooters, and Words of Vengeance is an ode to Typing of the Dead. You'll type things such as "Chaos Filth!" and "Punish the flesh!" to destroy enemies. It's available right now on Steam.

Warhammer Mechanicus 2

Warhammer and XCOM-ish tactical strategy are a perfect match. Fans have been thirsty for a sequel to Mechanicus, and it's getting a little bit closer. We'll play as two sides of the same war, the Necrons and the Adeptus Mechanicus. The emperor's boys can use cover in battle, while the Necrons can destroy it. There's no release date as of yet, but the first game is free on Steam through May 26.

Vermintide 2 free update

Vermintide is the Warhammer universe's take on Left 4 Dead. The Well of the Dreams is the final map and mission for the Verminous Dreams campaign, and it's available now.

Speed Freeks

Seriously, Warhammer is out to conquer every possible game genre. Speed Freeks is car combat that just left early access on Steam. I've heard good things about this one, and we don't get enough Twisted Metal style action these days.

Warhammer Supremacy

This one is a free-to-play grand strategy title for PC, iOS and Android in which Space Marines, Astra Miltarium, Orks, and Chaos Space Marines battle to the death and conquest. There's no release date yet, but you can pre-register.

Battlesector adds a campaign and Crusade Mode

One of the things I hear most about Battlesector is that it truly captures the feel of Games Workshop's iconic miniature battles. The new campaign DLC, Deeds of the Fallen, adds 12 missions and a horde-based Crusade Mode. It's free, and it's out right now.

The Emperor's Children join Warpforge

Warpforge is yet another Warhammer-centric card game. It features both a single-player campaign and online multiplayer. Live right now, the Emperor's Children seek to unleash agony and torment on the battlefield. They make only one promise: Your death will be exquisite.

Darktide brings out the Arbites

Co-op shooter Darktide will receive its first new faction in June. They'll set you back $11.99, but there is a free update launching alongside them. They march into battle with a Cyber Mastiff which can disable targets.

Dawn of War Definitive Edition

You can't know where you're going in the grimdark world without knowing how you got there. Relic Entertainment has announced a remaster of Dawn of War coming to GOG and Steam. It will include all the expansion content, over 200 maps and 4K support.
