Epopeia Games' Gaucho and The Grassland is a Brazilian indie game that celebrates the nation's unique culture and lets players across the world experience it. And a lot of players took this little indie experience in.

It made more than 95,000 wishlists on Steam, and is approaching the 500-user review milestone. According to Steam's statistics, only 10 percent of the games released on the platform ever reach more than 400 reviews. Gaucho is also one of the Top 30 farming sims on Steam currently.

In September, the game celebrated Farroupilha Month, which celebrates gauchos and their contributions. It added the accordion as a playable instrument, introducing a whole new game mechanic and original music composed exclusively for the game.

Clara Lester is our resident expert in farming sims, and she loved Gaucho and The Grassland.

"Gaucho and the Grassland is a love letter to the untouched well of Latin culture and the stories it can tell through farming sims and resource management!" she said in her review. "The game opens by telling us that traditions are felt rather than explained, and this game showcases what happens when those passionate about traditions come together to bring them to life for new audiences and what happens when others are ready to come together and listen.

Even more people will get to experience this title soon, as a mobile version of Gaucho and The Grassland is in the works. The Google Indie Games Fund is helping with its development. It's been a huge year for Gaucho and The Grassland, and App Trigger is happy to have helped it a little!
