FC 26 squad battles glitch could help with Icon Swaps

Lo and behold, the Icon Swaps event has returned to FC 26 for the first time in several years. Completing in-game challenges will unlock tokens you can use to earn players all the way to a powerful version of Ronaldo.

A lot of these challenges are doable in squad battles, to make it possible for primarily offline players to grind out tokens. But a glitch players are reporting may make doing so even easier than EA planned. The difficulty level on these squad battle objectives is World Class. But players are saying they've actually had an easier time completing them on Legendary, a higher difficulty rating.

Not that long ago, EA made adjustments that were, in theory, supposed to make all difficulties of squad battles more challenging. They said the update would make each difficulty roughly one level higher than it was before. Patches and updates are notorious for fixing some things and breaking others. Maybe they actually swapped two difficulty levels?

Apparently something like this has happened before. I'd recommend trying it out as soon as possible, because EA will absolutely patch this. Ultimate Team grinds being significantly easier costs them money, after all.

Glitches aside, it's good to see the Icon Swaps program back. After a bit of a rocky start, I'm having fun with FC 26 this year. In my opinion, this should have won sports game of the year. It's far superior to FC 25, which won last year and we're still trying to figure that one out.
