Fallout is having a bit of a February celebration. The second season just had its finale, so anyone with Prime can binge the entire thing. To commemorate the season finale, the Fallout franchise is also offering up a bunch of goodies for fans. From a new commercial to free-play days and a new in-game season, there’s a lot going on in the Wasteland.
First up, Fallout has dropped a brand new trailer, featuring Aaron Moten (who plays Maximus in the show) alongside the iconic Vault Boy. Together, they relive their memories of exploring the Fallout franchise after finding an old photo album in Vault Boy’s living room.
The trailer showcases the game series and some of its best moments, and includes tons of easter eggs and references for viewers to spot. From Sugar Bombs cereal to a Pip-Boy, Nuka-Cola, and the iconic Fallout bobblehead, and more, the trailer is made with fans in mind. You can check it out on YouTube below:
Free-to-Play days and a New In-Game Season for Fallout Shelter
To celebrate the season finale of the Fallout series, Fallout 76 is free-to-play for the next few days. For PlayStation owners, the game will be free until February 4. For players on Steam and Xbox, the game is free until February 5. The entire Fallout library is also currently available on Game Pass, so GP players can always explore the Wasteland whenever they want (and since Microsoft now owns Bethesda, the games will likely be on Game Pass for the foreseeable future).
If you don’t own any consoles, fear not, you can still hop into the Fallout universe. Fallout Shelter is a base construction and management game that still has the quirky bombast of the Fallout franchise. On top of being available for consoles, the game is also playable on mobile. Plus, it’s just launched a new season called “The House Always Wins”.
In “The House Always Wins” season, players can design a new experimental vault, collect exclusive rewards, and face new challenges. Plus, gamers can unlock two new themes, Lucky 39 and New Vegas at Night.
