Amplitude Studios has let us know what exciting features are coming to Endless Legend 2 this year, including custom factions, new art, and additional mechanics! There will also be improvements and updates to victory conditions, militias, and Hero skills, as well as a sixth major faction.
Endless Legend 2 will also add the Endless Moonsoon, an endgame event where the Keeper of the Depths will emerge, heralding the end of the world (and the game). Achieve victory, or otherwise survive as powerful monsoons batter the map.
"It's been an exciting and busy time since the release of the Early Access for Endless Legend 2,” Game Director Derek Paxton said. “There have been over a million games played, and the feedback from the community is shaping and improving the game. Based on this input, we’ve introduced multiplayer and made meaningful updates to battles, construction, victory conditions, and more. And this is just the beginning, as many new features and content are still to come as we move toward the full release of Endless Legend 2."
All this is happening while the game is still technically in early access. These features were revealed at Amplified, the studio's annual showcase. They also revealed:
- ENDLESS Space 2 – The team has once again partnered with CaptainCobbs and the modding community to deliver a second Community Patch following the Re‑Awakening Update. This patch introduces key Nakalim fixes, AI improvements, and balance updates to manpower generation and ground combat, raising the overall challenge for players.
- HUMANKIND – Following the Freya Update, HUMANKIND will receive a new Contemporary Era scenario chosen by the community. Set during Operation Cartwheel, it delivers large‑scale naval warfare with air and land support in the game’s most ambitious scenario to date. Both sides of the conflict are fully playable, offering distinct strategic challenges. The scenario will launch at a later date.
