EA Sports FC 26 glitch gives infinite rewards

There's a lot that EA Sports FC 26 does right, but glitches are glitches and every version of this simulation eventually exposes a few of them. Sadly, this one comes from one of my favorite new features in this year's game, bounties.

Bounties are simple challenges that randomly trigger after matches. They offer rewards ranging from coins and Ultimate Team packs to allowing you to skip stages in Rivals plays. It gives you things to do even if a game has gotten out of hand, allowing you to walk away with some reward for completing a simple in-game task. Once Rivals reaches the inevitably sweaty stage your current skill level doesn't allow you to grind past, you can still come away with something useful.

But good deeds in gaming seldom go unpunished. A glitch allows two players to generate infinite bounties by using co-op play. When a player with a bounty plays in co-op, it applies to both players. That much, EA intended to happen.

But by remaining in the co-op lobby, the bounties won't expire. This is the glitchy part, because as long as nobody leaves the lobby players can get infinite bounties and quickly level up the season pass. Obviously, none of that is working as intended and hopefully is patched soon.

There are two schools of thought here. One would argue I shouldn't be telling you about these exploits, because I'm part of the problem by doing so. Of course this isn't the way EA meant for this feature, which again I am a huge fan of, to work.

The second, and clearly the one I subscribe to, is that I'm here both to cover news and give tips on games. This exploit technically falls into both categories. I didn't come up with this glitch, the knowledge is out there and actively being used already. If you run into a super team, or somebody who has completed a challenge designed to take 30 hours in one day, I want you to know how it happened.

From a news angle, EA's response to this and the speed at which it happens are news. I'm hoping it's sooner rather than later.
