There are only a few more days until College Football 26 turns us all into big men on campus. Where does a game go after being one of 2024's bestselling titles? EA Sports is hoping nowhere but up, and obviously, Ultimate Team will be a huge part of that. EA has unveiled some of the new wrinkles in its most controversial but profitable game mode.

I Don't Know Art, But I Know What I Like

The new CUT cards have removed item borders and have a larger canvas in general for player items. They've also been revamped to make them more legible so the info players want most is readily accessible. I've gotta say, I like the new look. EA Sports also believes the art revamp will make CUT's many, many upcoming programs look unique.

It's In the Game - Modes

Fans asked for more and different kinds of events, and EA Sports is trying to give the people what they want. EA is promising lots of new limited time modes to accompany programs, and gave one example that will happen in College Football 26:

An event called Conference Clash challenges players to build their best All-SEC Team and challenge other players all-star squads. You'll be able to push a button and have the game design a lineup that best fits this challenge for you. As somebody that went to LSU - Shreveport, I wholeheartedly throw my support behind this game mode.

Study Hall Replaces Solo Battles

The Solo Battle experience was starting to feel a little dated, so I'm glad they mixed it up here. Study Hall is a new 12-game series in which the difficulty increases after every win. You'll get one free token per week to enter, with chances to earn others being purchasable with in-game currency.
