The other nominees for this award were Lego Party, Lego Voyagers, Mario Kart World, Sonic Racing Crossworlds, and Split Fiction. If you're looking for a Christmas gift the whole family will enjoy, these games are a great place to start!
Donkey Kong Bananza has sold more than 3 million units so far, with a Metacritic rating of 91, or Universal Acclaim. Don't feel too bad for Mario. Even though DK got him here, Mario Kart World has sold more than 9 million copies to date. It's the must own title, of course buoyed by being bundled with the Nintendo Switch 2 at launch.
This latest DK installment combined classic platforming with a whole lot of destruction, and this is a mix that clearly works for the legions of Nintendo fans out there.
