College football faithful all over the world rejoiced when EA Sports brought its beloved franchise back in 2024, making it the bestselling sports game of all time. College Football 26 is such a big improvement you won't be able to go back to last year's game, and now you can get it for a fraction of the cost.
Walmart has the PlayStation 5 version of CFB 26 on sale for $49.94, a savings of $20 on a game that just dropped in July. Even better, this is a physical version with a custom steelbook case featuring the logos of multiple NCAA schools.
Under the hood, CFB features a whopping 2,800 new plays out of 45 new formations. The best college coaches are always cooking up something new, and EA Sports is bringing it to you in this title. Defense gets some help too, with new tackles and stunts to wrap up the most exciting offensive stars in the game.
Predictive man coverage gives you a chance to guess what kind of route opposing receivers are running, making them that much easier to pick off. But defenders did get a much-needed nerf to their ability to pick off balls they shouldn't logically have seen coming. One of the EA Sports team's mantras in development was "No Eyes, No Pick." Be warned, though, this applies to your defenders as well. Defense will be harder this way, and QBs on Heisman will easily pick you apart if you're not careful.
I gave CFB 26 a recommendation in my review. From online play to single player dynasty building, any fan of college football and its pageantry will probably love this one. That's especially true at a discounted price.
