Man, we are getting all the 90s space-related goodness right now. Earlier this week I told you about Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, an FTL-ish game in which you lead a group of humans trying to escape the Cylons long enough to rendezvous with the main ship. Now we have Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown, which has a similar vibe.

Voyager's a perfect show to do an FTL-style roguelike with, since the crew was flung far away from Federation space. Daedalic Entertainment said the game will offer some what if scenarios, such as the Voyager incorporating Borg technology or crew members making different decisions. Apparently, it will be possible for you to get iconic characters from the show killed.

What about Tuvix? Can we choose for Tuvix to stay merged? Voyager viewers need to know.

There will also be ship-based combat and away team missions, because it wouldn't be Star Trek without those things. Will you make sure all your away team members complement each other? If you've gotten one of them killed, you may not be able to.

Crew member abilities are important in combat as well. Starfleet engineers on the TV show are often able to hold the ship together with a plastic spoon and good wishes. Will you be able to do the same? The fate of two separate quadrants of space may well depend on the outcome.

I don't know how we're getting so many games based on iconic sci-fi franchises from my youth, but by all means, keep them coming. I love nerds. Across The Unknown doesn't have a release date yet, but you know App Trigger will keep you posted.
