Borderlands 4 is on a journey not unlike that of a Vaunt Hunter. It has stumbled around a little, stuck its foot in its mouth, but somehow landed in exactly the right place to somehow save the day. After Gearbox's CEO waded into the ongoing debate about game pricing in the clumsiest way possible, 2K Games has confirmed Borderlands 4 will launch at $70.
The game's standard edition will contain the Gilded Glory pack, which includes a Vault Hunter skin, weapon skin and an ECHO-4 drone skin. All editions will include this pack. Any of you "real fans" of the franchise who want to pay more don't worry, they've got you covered.
The deluxe edition also includes Firehawk's fury weapon skin, and the Bounty Pack Bundle. That contains four unique areas, featuring new missions and unique bosses, four vault cards with unique challenges and rewards, new gear and weapons, new Vault Hunter cosmetics, four new vehicles with cosmetics.
The super deluxe edition will add the Ornate Order pack with four Vault Hunter skins, four Vault Hunter heads, and four Vault Hunter bodies. There's also the Vault Hunter pack with two new playable Vault Hunters, two new story packs, two new map regions, new gear and weapons, new Vault Hunter cosmetics, and new ECHO-4 cosmetics.
We'll find out more during a special Borderlands Fan Fest June 21, which will be broadcast on the game's official Twitch channel. Will they still let Randy Pitchford talk about the game? We'll find out soon enough.
