Battlefield 6 launched October 10 and is already the bestselling game of 2025, surpassing NBA 2K26, Monster Hunter Wilds, and yes, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. It has also surpassed Battlefield 1 as the series' bestselling game. Now you can try it for the low, low cost of absolutely free.

A free trial on all platforms will allow players to try the game on three maps: Cairo, Eastwood, and Blackwell Fields, and play five modes. Eastwood is a brand-new map added in the latest update. You will need to have Battlefield's Redsec Battle Royale mode downloaded. It was just added as part of California Resistance, a new content update for Season 1. It also adds two powerful new weapons, a shotgun and a revolver, and golf carts, because they're just cool. I can't wait for the inevitable videos of folks bodying enemies with their golf carts.

A new patch in California Resistance update (Patch 1.1.2.0) includes fixes around soldier responsiveness, bloom and aim assist, animation fidelity, and overall stability.

Battlefield 6's success has also been acknowledged by The Game Awards with nominations for Best Multiplayer Game, Best Action Game, and Best Audio Design.

“We are extremely proud of what our amazing teams at Battlefield Studios have accomplished and tremendously excited about the community’s passion as we continue to build Battlefield for and with our fans,” said Battlefield General Manager Byron Beede said. “Today’s launch of a free trial for Battlefield 6 is the perfect opportunity for new players to have the All Out Warfare experience that millions of players around the world are raving about.”

Since it's free right now, there's no reason not to give it a shot and see if it's worthy to enter your personal gaming rotation.
