Arriba! Tito Santana signs Legends contract, will appear in upcoming WWE games

Fans of WWE legend Tito Santana may be delivering his famous flying forearm in WWE 2K25. The superstar appeared on the Wrestling With History podcast to discuss his recent appearance on Saturday Night's Main Event. Santana hasn't been around much in recent years, but things are changing now that Vince McMahon is no longer in charge.

"The person that I talked to said look, we're not Vince anymore. We're a different organization. We hold the legends in high regard. We respect the legends and we want to do something with you guys," Santana said. The first part of that was Santana and Koko B. Ware appearing on the newly relaunched Saturday Night's Main Event.

Santana said he signed his Legends contract three weeks ago and the WWE promotional machine is quickly getting him new merchandise, including action figures and more media appearances.

"Supposedly they're going to be making action figures and putting me in video games," Santana said.

Wrestling's a tough business. There are a million broken relationships between the legends that made it what it is today and the companies that run it now. Whatever happened in the past, I'm glad Santana is back in the fold. He deserves all the accolades and I can't wait to use him in a game, hopefully as soon as WWE 2K25.

As a wrestling fan of a a certain age, I do sometimes use Gunther or Cody Rhodes. But I'm even more likely to break out the Honky Tonk Man, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, or "Ravishing Rick Rude." Everybody knows the timing window to reverse Gunther's moves at this point. But the Honky Tonk Man, on the other hand..
