Synopsis: Following Batman’s defeat of Superman five years after the events of Injustice: Gods Among Us, a new faction of super-villains known as the Society plots to take over the world. Outside a meaty story campaign, there is a ton of things to do in Injustice 2, hosting 29 playable characters at launch and offering tons of replayability through a myriad of multiplayer modes.

Why it’s one of the 50 best PS4 games: In an era where game developers are releasing their fighting games piecemeal and adding characters, maps, gear and feature modes as time goes on, Injustice 2 is like a full package a launch, with ongoing development piling on top. The fighting mechanics are tightened, the characters are varied and interesting, the story is quite good for its genre and the facial animations for the characters are quite impressive.

Injustice 2 is a solid fighting game that both casual and competitive players will enjoy for quite some time. We’ll see how better the game gets over time as DLC is released.
