The combat is the meat of the gameplay–while your player does not grow in strength, your weapons do as you upgrade them. A total of twelve weapon types are available to swap out and upgrade; each of them excels at a different style of fighting, whether that’s aerial combat, ranged, close quarters, or other different styles. The primary challenge of this, as it is in most Monster Hunter games, is to determine the enemy’s weakness and use a combination of strategy and skill to defeat more and more challenging monsters to glean rewards.
