Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is discounted for Cyber Monday

If you managed to hold off on buying Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but you still have an interest in playing it, you can now get it at a discount. Thanks to Walmart’s Cyber Monday deals, the price of Modern Warfare 3 is now $10 less.

Walmart’s listing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is $60 for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 — $10 cheaper than its regular price. Considering the popularity of Call of Duty and the fact this game just released two weeks ago, to see it discounted already — before Christmas — is a bit surprising.

Modern Warfare 3 didn’t get great reviews but Call of Duty games are usually immune to that sort of thing. For whatever reason, it appears that sales are lower than usual for the newest installment in the blockbuster franchise.

Typically by now Activision comes out and boasts about record-breaking sales numbers. Instead, we got record-breaking player engagement, but the stat was also limited to just the most recent Modern Warfare trilogy.

In any case, if you or anyone you know is interested in playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 this year, it probably won’t be any cheaper than $60. This is probably the biggest discount we’ll see this holiday season.

The only way you can get it any cheaper is if you get it for free as part of some of the holiday console bundles. The PS5 Slim Console Disc Edition comes bundled with Modern Warfare 3 for $499.99.

A sequel to 2022’s Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the third entry in the rebooted sub-series. In addition to the continuation of the story, Modern Warfare 3 features a robust multiplayer offering highlighted by 16 modernized maps from the original 2009 Modern Warfare 2. There’s also an all-new open-world Zombies experience and updates to the free Warzone battle royale mode.
