The 2023 Game of the Year nominees have been announced. And while there’s some debate over which games made (and did not make) the list, there’s no denying that the ones that are up for the award are must-play titles.

With the holidays approaching, retailers are running all sorts of sales. It’s doubtful that we’ll see major discounts on any of these games, but if you are looking to play some of the best games of 2023, here’s where you can find them for their cheapest price right now.

Resident Evil 4

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ($69.99)

Unfortunately, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is not discounted anywhere. Nintendo games tend to hold their value for a while and because this is sure to be a holiday favorite, it’s only available for regular price at $69.99.

Since it’s not on sale anywhere, you can also check Target, Best Buy, Walmart and Amazon, among other major retailers.

Baldur’s Gate 3 ($59.99)

  • Steam – $59.99 (PC)
  • GOG – $59.99 (PC)
  • PS Store – $69.99 (PS5)

Baldur’s Gate 3 is not yet available on Xbox Series X|S but is expected to come at some point. In the meantime, your only options are to pay full price for either the PC or PS5 version.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ($69.99)

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Like other games on this list, it’s not available at a discount.

You can also find this game at Target, Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop and all major retailers.

It’s also worth noting there is a PlayStation 5 – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Bundle available for $499.99. This is the PS5 console that includes a disc drive which means you’re basically getting Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for free. If you don’t have a PS5, this is a great place to start.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder ($59.99)

Another new release, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is available at most retailers at full price. This is a return to form for the Mario side-scrolling gameplay, but with some added twists and game-changing items.

Alan Wake 2

Interestingly, Alan Wake 2 is not available on disc, which helps keep the price lower than the $70 that most publishers charge for current-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X games. Because of this, you can purchase the digital version of the game for $59.99 on the digital storefront of your preferred console. If playing on PC, it’s available for only $49.99 through the Epic Games Store.

  • Epic Games Store – $49.99 (PC)
  • Xbox Store – $59.99 (Xbox Series X|S)
  • PlayStation Store – $59.99 (PS5)

Sadly, not many of the 2023 Game of the Year titles are on sale, and that’s probably because they are 1) new releases, and 2) high-profile games that everyone will surely want for the holidays.
