Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer pre-load and release times
It’s officially Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launch week. Although early access to the Campaign began on November 2nd, the full game’s release — which includes Multiplayer and Zombies — is November 9.
If you’re eager to jump into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer the moment it launches, you’ll want to first pre-load the game. Below are the dates and times for the Multiplayer and Zombies pre-load and release times.
When can you pre-load Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer and Zombies on consoles and PC?
The best way to ensure you can jump in and start playing Modern Warfare 3’s multiplay right when it unlocks is to pre-load it. Thankfully, you don’t have to wait long.
Pre-load will be available on all platforms starting on November 8 at 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET.
There have been reports of Modern Warfare 3 taking upwards of 200-plus GB of space on consoles and PC. Activision has responded to the massive file size for the game, noting:
"This is due to the increased amount of content available Day 1, including open world Zombies, support for item carry forward from #MW2, as well as map files for current Call of Duty: Warzone. (Note: as part of our ongoing optimization efforts, your final installation size will be actually smaller than the combined previous Call of Duty experiences)."
To save space, you can uninstall specific content from the “manage files” section of the COD HQ launcher menu. It’s not an ideal solution, but Activision is working to optimize the game’s file size.
When does Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 fully release?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will fully release on November 9th, but the exact time will vary based on your platform and region.
For PC, it will be 9:00 p.m. PT no matter what. But for console, the release time will vary between 3:00 a.m. PT and 10:00 a.m. PT.
