A big part of the Teal Mask expansion of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet involves your character chasing down three legendary Pokemon known as the “Loyal Three”.  These are the Poison/Fighting dog, Okidogi. The Poison/Psychic monkey, Munkidori. And the Poison/Fairy bird, Fezendipity. Listen, don’t look at me like that. I didn’t name them.

Many players were surprised to find that while you have to battle them as part of the Teal Mask’s story, you actually can’t capture them and instead they run off and disappear after saving the day and helping your new little Pokebuddy out.

Worth it. Ogerpon is the friggen best and I’d die for that little dork.

But for people looking to complete the newest Pokedex you’re probably a little Pokevexed (sorry not sorry) by the fact that after you went after the Loyal Three they just vanished forever. Luckily you can get them back…for a price.

One of the post game missions is given to you by the Caretaker called “We love Loyalty Plaza”. In this mission, the Caretaker understands that the statues represented three absolute jerkstores, but he still thinks that having that shrine rebuilt will help keep tourism coming in and that dude lives and breaths tourism money.

But to build it he needs YOU to raise money to rebuild it. The cost? A sweet sweet million. Cash. One weird plot point of the DLC is that in an effort to point out how behind this town is, they don’t know how to accept your character’s secondary currency.

He tells you to go about and see if you can raise money but as Pokemon is filled with nothing but static NPCs, So talking to them will just give you the exact same line of dialogue they’ve been saying meaning you’re paying that bill.

If it’s any small comfort, for every 100,000 you’re given 10 Pretty Feathers which sell for 500 each. So, basically, for every 100,000 you get 5,000 back. When you’ve paid off that million, you’ll have gotten 50K back. Oof.

When you do pay it off, however, the shine gets rebuilt. The game even makes a VERY self aware joke eluding the point where they clearly just restored the original asset by talking about how they somehow managed to even recreate all the original scratches and damages. But the important thing is, is that you now have the shine back.

Surprisingly, there’s no cut scene or clues to let you know anything else has happened but, that’s okay. That’s why I’m here, child.

Head back to the three areas where you fought the Titan forms of the Loyal Three earlier. Munkidori is in the Southwest at the Wisteria Pond. Okidogi is hanging out in the Northwest in the Paradise Barrens. And Fezendipity is the most annoying to find. It requires you to find the ledge on the east side of the mountain you first fought it on. If you don’t remember how, just get to Fellhorn Gorge and look for the ladders leading down.

It’s pretty worth noting that these three are absolutely shiny locked so don’t be reloading over and over again trying to get their shiny forms. Though, honestly, if you look up their shiny forms they absolutely suck. They’re just greyed out like you have the contrast of your TV jacked up. You’ll be fine without it.

Anyways, that’s how to catch all three. Their catch rate absolutely sucks and it took me about 40 Luxury Balls each. But you’ll get there. Just remember to save before fighting them because I don’t know how often they respawn should you accidentally kill one.
