After the fight, don’t rush off. Instead, explore the area and search a nearby bench. You’ll know you’re in the right spot if you see the word “FRIENDS” etched into the ground. There, you’ll discover the Faded Whistle, a seemingly innocuous item.
With the Faded Whistle in your inventory, it’s time to uncover its purpose. As seasoned Souls-like players know, items like these are rarely just decorative. The Faded Whistle, in particular, plays a role in Lies of P’s immersive world.
Completing the Quest
Head to Elysian Boulevard, specifically the fast travel point titled – Inside the House on Elysian Boulevard. Follow the path out onto the balcony and around to the right until you come to a ladder. Climb down and the lit window with two trashcans is where you’ll be able to talk to a young person named Toma. Toma is reminiscing about playing with a “super cool police officer,” which is a reference to the Scrapped Watchman. He definitely wasn’t super cool when I met him, though, but he did have an electric personality.
