Nitara returns to Mortal Kombat 1, played by Megan Fox
The roster for Mortal Kombat 1 is just about complete. With a release coming up on September 19, NetherRealm Studios has revealed that Nitara will be returning to the franchise for the first time in 17 years.
This won’t just be a simple voice over either. Megan Fox will be playing the character herself, similar to how Jean Claude Van Damme is the skin for Johnny Cage and Sylvester Stallone portrayed Rambo in Mortal Kombat 11 DLC. There are a lot more celebrities included as well as Ronda Rousey was Sonya Blade. Actors J.K. Simmons and Antony Starr will also be reprising their roles as Omni-Man and Homelander in the first Kombat Pack. Peacemaker, Takeda, Ermac and Quan-Chi are also going to round out the first pack.
Nitara’s move set was exactly what you would expect from an Outworld vampire. The trailer above shows entrails galore along with Fox’s thoughts on how she approached the role as well. We are twelve days away from launch of Mortal Kombat 1, but those who pre-order the Premium or Kombat edition can get five days early access starting on September 14.
This will be the first game to feature Kameo fighters as well. Similar to how Marvel V. Capcom used characters, Mortal Kombat 1 will let players jump in for a few moves in order to start or augment combos. And yes, they are going to be involved in fatalities. Mortal Kombat 1 will also feature a brand-new Invasion mode that will function similar to a board game with special timed characters. There is a whole lot to look forward to with Mortal Kombat 1 and the re-boot of the franchise in Liu Kang’s new universe. What are you most excited for? Let us know below.
