Glow Pikmin

The backstory of Glow Pikmin is nothing short of tragic.

I think it’s clear that they’re dead.

Think about it. Glow Pikmin have wispy tails instead of legs, like Pikmin who have died. They’re also immune to almost every attack, similar to ghosts.

Glow Pikmin also don’t die when they are crushed or eaten. They simply rejuvenate and float back to you.

Nearly every detail concludes that Glow Pikmin are spirits, but that’s not my worst realization.

I can’t help but think Glow Pikmin are all the Pikmin I’ve accidentally killed. Who’s to say they aren’t returning to haunt me? There’s no proof of this, but it’s a theory I can’t get out of my head.

Either way, it’s depressing that these ghost Pikmin still practice servitude in the afterlife. The poor things are mindless cogs stuck in a cycle of being eaten and crushed because of unskilled players.

If that’s not disturbing, I don’t know what is.
