Night Expeditions

A notable addition to Pikmin 4 is Night Expeditions. In this tower-defense mode, players must protect structures to collect sap and cure those infected with a plant-like disease.

I knew this mode would be a struggle; good things hardly happen at night in video games. However, I underestimated how scary it could get.

Your purpose is to fight off hordes of red-eyed enemies hellbent on eradicating everything that gives off light. Things can get hectic as you try to last through the night.

Let’s not forget the music that plays when the creatures attack the structure you’re supposed to protect. It nearly gave me a heart attack when I first heard it.

In addition to the Night Expeditions themselves, a specific thing about them disturbs me even more.
