Empath

"You are deeply connected to the feelings of others. Performing actions you companion likes will result in a temporary increase in combat effectiveness. But, performing actions they don’t like will have the precise opposite effect."

Are you a people pleaser? Selecting Empath could provide a useful boost in combat, but make sure your decisions are ones they like.

Extrovert

"You are a people person. Exerting yourself uses less oxygen when adventuring with human companions, but more when adventuring alone. (Can’t be combined with Introvert)"

If you plan on exploring planets with an NPC companion, you’ll use less oxygen when sprinting. If you’re more of a solo adventurer, you may want to skip this ones, or just select the Introvert trait.

Freestar Collective Settler

"You gain access to special Freestar Collective dialogue options, and better rewards from some missions given by the faction. But, crime bounty towards other factions is greatly increased. (Can’t be combined with any other trait)"

The Freestar Collective is one of the factions you can join. It’s a loose confederation of star systems with the main hub being the walled-off Akila City. The Freestar Collective believes that everyone should have freedom and live as individuals. Although you can join the Freestar Collective during your gameplay, this provides you with additional perks like dialogue options, better rewards.
