Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story teaser trailer dropped

Calling all League of Legends fans!

Riot Forge and Tequila Works have teamed up to bring us Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story –  the ultimate road trip with the coolest (literally, they live in the ice-cold Freljord) duo in the League of Legends universe: Nunu and Willump.

Developed with love and a whole lot of frost magic by Tequila Works and published by Riot Forge, Song of Nunu promises to be a fun and epic odyssey. Players will witness Nunu and Willump’s unbreakable bond and meet other legendary champions as they unlock the secrets of the Freljord – an unforgiving, enchanting land of legendary champions and chilling quests.

“Nunu and Willump’s relationship is the driving force of the game and we can’t wait for players to join this inspiring duo on their epic journey,” said Rowan Parker, Creative Director at Riot Forge. “We are thrilled to partner with Tequila Works to tell the story of these fan-favorite characters as they traverse the frozen wilds of the Freljord.”

While at Gamescom, Riot Forge and Tequila Works surprised fans with a teaser trailer and some details about the game.

Players can expect a variety of fun in-game activities including hiking, climbing, and sledding. Yes, sledding. If you thought the Freljord was just a glorified winter wonderland, think again! You’ll have to navigate through howling blizzards, dodge ferocious wolves, and discover what’s hidden beneath the eternal snow.

Tequila Works’ CEO, Raúl Rubio Munárriz, also shared his excitement and the ease of partnering up with Riot Forge for this project: “We are so grateful for the freedom Riot Forge gave us to choose the champions that suit our sensibilities, and for their trust to let us dig in the wrinkles of these mighty characters.”

More details, including the release date and a special collector’s edition, are set to be revealed this fall.
