Madden 24: How to relocate your NFL team in Franchise Mode
Relocating sports teams is not always a fun experience. It leaves the fanbase of that particular sports team down in the dumps as the team they root for is no longer in their city. Relocation is not something that is done often, but it does happen every once in a while. In the past seven years in the NFL, we have seen it thrice. In 2016, the St. Louis Rams moved to Los Angeles to become the LA Rams. In 2017, the San Diego Chargers moved to Los Angeles. In 2020, the Oakland Raiders moved to Las Vegas to become the Las Vegas Raiders. If you ever thought about starting your own NFL team in a city of your choice, you can do so in the Madden 24 Franchise Mode.
How to relocate your NFL team in Madden 24’s Franchise Mode
After you begin Franchise Mode and choose the Franchise you want to start out with, you will have the choice of relocating your team to a new city. All you have to do is from the main menu of Franchise Mode, head down to the “Manage Team” option. Once you select “Manage Team,” there will be an option to select “Relocate.”
Madden 24 offers more than 30 different cities where you can move your team to. If you want to keep your team inside of the United States, there will be more than enough options to choose from. However, it doesn’t end right there. You can also choose to take your NFL take on an international level and relocate them to a different country. If you want to move the Browns to Japan, Australia, or even Argentina, the options are on the table.

The number of options is really incredible. EA Sports wanted to make sure that Madden 24 was a whole lot more flexible than what we saw in Madden 23’s Franchise Mode. If you want to become the Toronto Thunderbirds, you can. If you were feeling like becoming the Memphis Elks, that option is also available to you. That wasn’t the case in Madden 23.
In Madden 23, you were limited to specific team names depending on the city that you chose. The freedom was not the same as what we are seeing in Madden 24. This was a big step up by EA Sports and it is great to see them expanding on these types of features.
Once you are done getting out the city and name change, you can go ahead and choose your type of stadium you want your team to play in and then you are good to go. There is no need to burn the first year of your NFL season like you had to do last year. You will be good to go immediately, and you can begin a brand-new story of a brand-new franchise.
