Madden 24: All 32 starting quarterback ratings at launch
9. Kirk Cousins (Minnesota Vikings) – 84 OVR
Most NFL analysts have Kirk Cousins in the middle of the pack when it comes to starting quarterbacks. EA has him as a top 10 in Madden 24. Cousins is coming off a yea rin which he threw a career-high 14 interceptions and put up his lowest passer rating since becoming a full-time starter. Cousins is a good quarterback, but he’s also benefitted from playing with the likes of Justin Jefferson. In any case, Cousins is rated an 84 in Madden 24.

8. Aaron Rodgers (New York Jets) – 86 OVR
Aaron Rodgers threw an uncharacteristic 12 interceptions last season, the second-most of his career. At 39-years-old, EA must feel that Rodgers is starting to regress. He went from a 96 overall at the start of Madden 23 to a 86 overall at the start of Madden 24. That’s quite a drop. For the first time in his career, Rodgers will not be playing for Green Bay as he was traded to the New York Jets this offseason. He’s definitely an upgrade over Zach Wilson, but his overall is not quite as high as we’re used to seeing.

7. Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers) – 87 OVR
Justin Herbert is an incredibly talented passer, but the 25-year-old just isn’t quite at the level of some of the other younger quarterbacks in the league. Still, he’s a top 10 quarterback in one of the best offensive systems in football. He begins the year with an 87 overall in Madden 24:
