Madden 24: All 32 starting quarterback ratings at launch
24. Mac Jones (New England Patriots) – 74 OVR
Mac Jones, the successor of Tom Brady in New England, didn’t have the big sophomore jump that many had hoped to see from the quarterback, but some of his struggles can be pinned on the lack of a true offensive coordinator. Jones doesn’t have the dynamic playmaking ability as some of the other quarterbacks his age, like Justin Fields or Trevor Lawrence, but he’s a high-level distributor of the ball and has played better than his stats indicate. In Madden 24, he has a 74 overall with the following ratings:
- Speed: 80
- Throw Power: 85
- Break Sack: 58
- Throw Under Pressure: 82
- Short Accuracy: 91
- Medium Accuracy: 82
- Deep Accuracy: 84
- Play Action: 85
- Throw on Run: 80
23. Bryce Young (Carolina Panthers) – 74 OVR
In real life, Bryce Young’s lack of size is a bit of concern. Luckily, that shouldn’t matter too much in Madden 24. While young has great speed (87 Speed/89 Acceleration) and athleticism (84 Agility), he’s more than capable at passing the ball as well.
- Speed: 87
- Throw Power: 87
- Break Sack: 80
- Throw Under Pressure: 83
- Short Accuracy: 87
- Medium Accuracy: 83
- Deep Accuracy: 81
- Play Action: 81
- Throw on Run: 83
22. Matthew Stafford (Las Angeles Rams) – 75 OVR
Matthew Stafford’s rating in Madden 24 is the one I’m most surprised to see. I get that he’s coming off a horrendous season with the Rams — one that was cut short due to injury — but his drop-off in rating feels a tad bit harsh. With a 75 overall, Stafford, who won a Super Bowl in 2021, isn’t even a top 20 quarterback in Madden 24. He’s rated worse than guys like Daniel Jones, Ryan Tannehill and Justin Fields. Here are his ratings:
- Speed: 74
- Throw Power: 92
- Break Sack: 75
- Throw Under Pressure: 80
- Short Accuracy: 87
- Medium Accuracy: 81
- Deep Accuracy: 83
- Play Action: 85
- Throw on Run: 86
