Baldur’s Gate 3 Origin Characters
Origins are pre-made characters who have unique background stories. There are seven in Baldur’s Gate 3. Origin characters can also join your party later in the game. Let’s take a look at each one.
Astarion
This rogue vampire spawn runs from a past that haunts him. After finally escaping the grasp of his former master, Cazador, Astarion will do whatever it takes to gain as much power as possible to ensure his freedom. The elf has to outrun the hunters who are on his tail first.
Lae’zel
Lae’zel is a Githyanki Warrior caught in a life-altering dilemma. The soldier must eliminate the Mind Flayer parasite inside her to avoid becoming one of the beasts. Lae’zel must also prove herself worthy to the Githyanki community that has exiled her out of fear.
Gale
It all started when Gale’s hubris got the best of him. The wizard prodigy tried to steal a goddess’ power and was punished with a curse that could annihilate a city if unleashed. With the wretched artifact in his chest, Gale must find a way to neutralize it before it’s too late.
Shadowheart
Shar, the goddess of darkness and loss, has many devotees, including a cleric named Shadowheart. This loyal warrior sought a powerful relic and must deliver it to Shar to recover her lost memories. Meanwhile, Shadowheart grapples with magic that is challenging to understand and control.
Wyll
Wyll made a name for himself as a hunter known as the Blade of Frontieres. Although he holds great power, no one knows what he did to get it. Wyll made a warlock’s pack and is now at the mercy of Mizora, who orders him to kill her foes. The warlock embarks on a grueling quest to set his soul free.
Karlach
Karlach finally escaped the clutches of Zariel, the archdevil. However, the barbarian is still held captive by the engine lodged in her chest. Now, Karlach seeks a way to destroy the infernal device inside her and vows to murder the one who sold her to Zariel.
The Dark Urge
This sorcerer knows his past is filled with bloodshed and violence, but he can’t recall specific events. It’s up to the Dark Urge to find answers and understand who he is. It may be easier said than done since the sorcerer is drawn to indescribable savagery.
