Madden 24 Ratings Predictions: 5 Highest Rated NFC Teams
#4. Seattle Seahawks
Nobody expected the Seattle Seahawks to have the type of season they did last year— especially the ratings adjustor in Madden who had the team rated just a 76 overall in Madden 23. To be fair, the Seahawks traded quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos and replaced him with Geno Smith.
Well, as it just so happens, Smith balled out at quarterback putting together an incredible season and guiding the team to an unexpected 9-8 record which was good enough for the final NFC wild card berth. The Seahawks lost to the 49ers, but it was an achievement to make it that far. Smith’s performance last season earned him NFL Comeback Player of the Year and saw his overall jump from just a 66 to an 80 in Madden 23. That alone should provide a nice bump to Seattle’s team rating.
He’s got plenty of weapons as well, including Tyler Lockett (91 OVR), D.K. Metcalf (88 OVR) and Kenneth Walker III (85 OVR). The defense is led by Jamal Adams (89 OVR), Quandre Diggs (86 OVR), Jordyn Brooks (81 OVR) and Tariq Woolen (81 OVR).
Seattle has a ton of young talent on their roster, including two first-round picks from the 2022 NFL Draft in cornerback Devon Witherspoon and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
There’s no doubt the Seahawks are a talented team with a tremendous upside but their age could work against them when it comes to ratings in Madden 24. I suspect EA will rate the Seahawks as an above-average team to start, but there’s a good chance the ratings will improve if the younger players rise to their potential.
