Connor McDavid

Connor McDavid is a superhuman. He is clearly the best player in the NHL and is going to go down in history as one of the best players to ever live. Connor McDavid continues to get better each year and just when you think he can’t get any better, he does.

In 2022, Connor McDavid had his career high in points with 123 (44 goals and 79 assists). In 2023, Connor McDavid shattered his career high by joining the 150+ points club by scoring a total of 153 points. McDavid scored 64 goals and compiled 89 assists. These are NHL 24 type numbers, but he actually did this in an NHL season.

The success that Connor McDavid had this past season ultimately allowed him to win the Art Ross (5x winner), Ted Lindsay (4x winner), Rocket Richard (1x winner), and the Hart Trophy (3x winner) all in the same year. The last player to win all four in the same season was Alex Ovechkin back in 2008.

Connor McDavid is no stranger to NHL video game covers. Connor McDavid was actually named the NHL 18 cover athlete and he may be on track to be on the cover of NHL 24. This would mark his second appearance on an NHL cover. EA Sports is not afraid to put a repeat player on the cover of an NHL video game and if there was to be a repeat cover athlete, McDavid has definitely earned that honor.
