Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers) — 95 OVR

Despite a calf injury ending Damian Lillard’s 2022-2023 season early, Lillard still produced stellar numbers on a struggling team. He averaged 32.2 PPG, and even scored a career-high 71 points against the Houston Rockets. The only players to ever score more points in a single game are Kobe Bryant, Will Chamberlain, and David Thompson.

Lillard’s consistent high-level play earned him a spot on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. He is also coming off his seventh All-Star year. Anything lower than a 95 overall would be an insult to Lillard’s impressive career. His injuries and poor team might have kept his name out the media’s limelight in recent years, but his resume speaks for itself.

If Lillard would have left the Trail Blazers earlier in his career, I have no doubt he would already have a ring. He has finally requested a trade and is currently linked with the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers.
