Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder) — 93

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the leader of Oklahoma City Thunder’s youthful core. The PG is coming off the best season of his career, averaging 31.4 PPG, over 7 more points than his 2021-2022 season total. He also increased his three-point percentage to 34.5% while playing about 35 minutes per game. Although Luke Doncic is the most notable PG from the 2018 draft class, Gilgeous-Alexander is reminding people he was also a top pick.

I have Gilgeous-Alexander jumping to a 93 overall from his NBA 2K23 87 rating. Leading one of the NBA’s worst teams to the postseason will bring the Canadian just below three of the best point guards in the NBA. Of the five players on this list, Gilgeous-Alexander also has the biggest potential for growth throughout the season.

I originally even had Gilgeous-Alexander at a 94, but his struggles against the Timberwolves in the Play-In Game stopped me. He went just 5-19 when it mattered most, and 12 of his 22 points were free throws.
