Madden 24 RB ratings predictions: 5 highest rated running backs
Josh Jacobs – (Las Vegas Raiders) – 96 OVR
Josh Jacobs is a classic example of teams hesitating to commit long term money to the running back position. Despite his career production last season, Jacobs has been locked in a nasty contract negotiation this offseason and will likely play under the franchise tag. Josh Jacobs is only 25 years old but has 1,000-plus carries under his belt over his four-year career with the Raiders. Although he’s coming off the best season of his career last year, his mileage over four seasons may have something to do with the Raiders hesitancy.
In terms of talent, Jacobs is among the best in the league. He’s a bell cow, racking up a whopping 340 carries last year which he turned into a league-best 1,653 yards. He also scored 12 touchdowns. He’s also proven himself capable in the passing game with 50-plus receptions in each of the past two seasons.
Jacobs began the season with a 87 overall in Madden 23 but quickly rose to a 95 overall by the end of the year. I think his production and age, coupled with a predicted fall off by some of the older running backs in the league, will lead him to becoming one of the best rated backs in Madden 24. But although Jacobs led the league in rushing yards last season, but he hasn’t been quite as consistent as the player who I believe should be the best-rated running back in Madden 24.
