Derrick Henry (Tennessee Titans) – 94 OVR

Derrick Henry has consistently been the league’s best workhorse, but how much longer can he keep it up? Last year he carried the ball 349 times, the second most in his career, and rushed for 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns. He’s got 1,750 career carries and an impressive 4.8 yards per carry over his career.

Despite being second among running backs in rushing yards and touchdowns, EA continued to lower Henry’s overall over the course of the season. He finished the season with a 94 overall. I’ve long argued that Henry deserved a spot in the 99 Club, but at this point it’s clear that EA believes he’s too one-dimensional. In the past, Madden’s ratings adjustors blamed his Carrying and Trucking rating for his overall.

Unfortunately, I think Henry’s best days are behind him and, as a result, I think his best Madden rating days are as well. I think he starts the season with a 94 overall, but I don’t necessarily think it’s fair.
