2. Mortal Kombat 1 – Sept. 19 – PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch
Fighting game fans have already been treated to Street Fighter 6 this year, but there’s no slowing down with Mortal Kombat 1 coming in September. This reboot follows up on the story left off in MK12 featuring a new universe and Fire God Liu Kang. The reveal garnered a ton of hype including returning characters such as Kenshi and, of course, the series staple Fatalities. The Mortal Kombat series has been on a roll since MK9, and the reboot looks to continue that trend.
