Meta has just announced a new subscription service for their Meta Quest virtual headsets. The company is calling the new service Meta Quest+. Meta Quest+ will offer subscribers of their service two free games at the beginning of each month and the service only is going to cost you $7.99 per month or $59.99 annually.

This is a big announcement from Meta. It appears that almost everything is subscription based now a days and Meta wants to jump in on that action as well. Meta Quest+ will be available on the Quest 2, the Quest Pro and the upcoming Quest 3.

If you are wondering what type of video games you will be getting with this service, July and August’s games have already been revealed. In July, you will get the pleasure of playing Pistol Whip and Pixel Ripped 1995. In August, you will get Walkabout Mini Golf and MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE. Within your first two months, you have a decent variety of different genre of video games.

If you are someone who loves Virtual Reality video games, this may be a great deal for you. As long as you continue to hold onto your Meta Quest+ subscription, you will have access to every game that was offered to you. Meta describes this as “value building over time.”

If you own a compatible Meta Quest headset and this sounds like a deal you are interested in taking advantage of, Meta Quest+ is available now. If you sign up for a subscription by July 31, you can even get your first month for only $1.

If you try the service out and realize that you don’t want to own a subscription, you can cancel at any time. With the cost being only $7.99 per month, that is one of the lowest subscription video game services there is. Virtually reality is definitely not every gamer’s first choice, but it appears Meta is finally on the video game subscription bandwagon.
